Femonics is an initiative to bridge the Gender Gap in Pakistan through research, advocacy, capacity building trainings, policy interventions .

Focus Area

EcoTourism and Climate Change

Femonics believes in socially responsible tourism. To mitigate the ecological footprint it supports sustainable tourism and advocates for conservation and promotion of local culture. It is taking measures by organizing ecotourism bootcamps and running campaigns to sensitize people about the adverse effects of climate change. It is running a pre incubation for the social enterprises to build an inclusive and sustainable society.

Entrepreneurship

The directors believe to implement an ‘entrepreneurship emergency’ in the country. They Advocate for the policy interventions to promote green entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship and lifestyle entrepreneurship. The company organizes workshops under its initiative 'Step Up With Femonics'; a pre incubation program for the capacity building of the women owned MSMes in the informal segments to bring them to the formal economy. It is organizing consultative sessions for the protection and promotion of women owned indigenous crafts of Pakistan through Geographical Indications.

Femonics is a strong advocate of transfer of technology into the women dominated industries. Our community offers a broad range of support, programs and resources to help women advance in technology and to equip them with new trends of market through digitilization, promotion of IT and innovation.

Mahwish Afridi

Director and Chief Executive

Lead of Facebook Community Leadership Circles-Rawalpindi, Ambassador Makesense Pakistan, Former Board Member Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry. CEO Narcist Boutique. She is an advocate of inclusive policy reforms. For that she organizes roundtables, consultative sessions with the stakeholders to foster solution based proposals.

Raheela Anwar

Director

Ex-MPA Punjab Assembly, A social activist known for her work for the empowerment of women and vulnerable sections of the society. She rose her voice for many bills and brought matters of grave concern to the government. For her tireless efforts for gender equality she was awarded by FAFEN and was awarded 4th position out of the 371 members of the whole house by the Punjab Provincial Assembly in 2018.
